imo you should make deathcore and metalcore separate because I looked up some 'deathcore' bands and everything I heard sucked-- or just don't have deathcore up there at all, it reminds me too much of post-hardcore

Got bored of Soilwork and Mercenary (Melodeath band from Denmark) now. I listened to Soilwork's double-album, The Living Infinite a stuff-load of times along with their older albums. Same goes for Mercenary's Metamorphosis. They could both use some heavy riffing and some growling in their songs, but other than that I'm good with those.

I decided to revert back onto the other bands that I listen to. The Stranded (Modern melodeath) is the only thing that comes to mind. Out of their recent album, Survival Boulevard I now fell in love with Carnival Shroud. But for now, I would introduce myself to Mors Principium EST and Be'lakor.

Metal is one of the greatest genres of music to emerge within the last 50 years, and with that, it is my favourite genre of music.

Yeah, they're pretty awesome. Their (old) lead singer is in two other bands, Miseration and Solution .45, if you're interested.
