"Scanning for Steam games updates..." NVM FIX HERE

This little piece of stuff appears when I try to launch ANY game, even a non-steam game, through Steam.
It gets in my face whenever I un-minimize a Steam-related window and prevents me from using any of them until I hit the cancel button.

What the forget do I even do to get rid of it so I can play Spiral Knights already? nevermind a quick google fixed it
