True. CoD has the best ratio for time fighting / time running around. It's fast paced and it's not particularly hard to kill something. If I have to do a quick game of something, I'd choose 2 games of CoD which includes me fighting continuously than a game of Battlefield 3, fighting for 10 seconds while I get to the map in 1 minute. Even if I do like Battlefield 3 more because of the different game style.
Though a good middle-point that I am also very satisfied with lately is Blacklight: Retribution. also Warface is also going to be very pleasant in this theme once it comes out, the beta at least was great.

All of my this

Can I now stress
why I want a new WWI/WWII era Call of Duty game
why do we need another one of those? if anything, we need a civil war call of duty.

anything not in the 21st century is good enough

Too many war shooters. We must go old school and fight aliens and Demons and stuff like in Doom and Quake.

Assuming you're talking about the American Civil War, why would you want to play a game where you stand in a line and shoot an inaccurate rifle at a line of other people off in the distance? Civil War games are not suited for the FPS genre, especially not a Call of Duty game. Call of Duty is about fast paced action and huge, impressive set pieces. Not line battles.

The only call of duty that looks any good is call of duty ghosts.

Syrian Civil War would be interesting if they didn't put the US in there.

forget, any war would be interesting if the US wasn't a loving part of it.

I want to play as Indians or some stuff.

Halo has part of that. Aliens, and I guess the flood can be considered demons.

I think you just may have missed the joke.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. People have loved, are loving, and will continue to love CoD because it always has that fast paced action arcade style multiplayer.

I'm fully aware people like the game, there's a reason I said in my eyes and there's also a reason I said I buy them but I wait for the community to die out to bother buying a new one.

Wasn't bashing the game I'm just saying it gets annoying, I get my hopes up thinking it'll be something new (like some new amazing game mode or something) and then just see it's just different maps with different guns.

wowe people like a product that has successfully accomplished its goal: to be purchased and used! burn them at the stake!!!!

"hey guys check out this friend that has an opinion"
"wow he's just jumping on the bandwagon"

I'm sorry if I actually want to say this:

CoD is a line of games targeted towards adults to provide a shooting experience... or was.

Now you only see teenagers ranging from 14-18, adults in their 20's and 30's, and worst of all: kids.

I have seen a literal 4 year old that got on his brother's PSN account, and somehow managed to turn on the mic and talk. The squealing and screaming I can never forget.

The entire line is just remakes of 1 of the games that is just to make money.

EDITED STUFF:
if you're going to actually bash CoD, make it a legitimate criticism as to why it's actually a bad game

e.g. the multiplayer level design is loving horrid, killstreak rewards throw game balance out the window, etc.

Every single DLC stuff they have costs around $10, and includes a stuffty 2 maps, or some other kind of crap.
