Author Topic: Looking for good gaming laptop under $1,000  (Read 3452 times)

Okay you tech wizards out there, I'm looking for a new laptop. I don't play any high end games on my laptop. I play those on Xbox. I just want a decent gaming laptop for under $1000 since I'm on a budget. I have to pay for classes next fall. It also has to be a laptop since I travel often. The only game it really needs to run is Blockland lag free. Thanks for any help!

Do you use it for blockland sometimes? How does it run? I'm also not sure how windows 8 is. How is it?

Its top notch rav
Alright. I'm really thinking about getting it. Just one last question. Since the trackpad is spaced to the left a little, does your arm ever hit it when using wasd keys? Seems like it would.

"gaming" "laptop" "under $1000"

Are you serious?

there's usually an alt+F[number] combination you can press to disable the trackpad.

I don't play hardcore games. I just want it for blockland and my gopro video editing. And I'm pretty sure I could get a decent one to perform those tasks for under $1,000.

why dont you just get some 200 dollar used thinkpad if all your going to be doing is playing blockland and video editing?

Not even for Blockland and video editing.

Current laptops have a problem, they are stuffing too much hardware into too little space causing a lot of hardware failure and overheating.  So what do you do?

You buy even more hardware in a tiny space.

It's a dumb idea, really.  First off, why does it have to be a laptop and why does it have to use powerful hardware?
