I've had this problem before. I couldn't find out how to fix it so I just got a new computer.

Look for indicator lights on the front or back. Use another computer and Google/manufacturer's website to find out what they mean.

EDIT: The beeps are also a code that you can look up.

Sounds like a BIOS error. You're gonna need a technician for this problem.

if you're getting beeps, i'd think that's the bios. hear how many it is, learn what mobo you have, find a manual online what that many beeps means.

Im trying this right now.

the normal beep on start-up is one beep. i'm guessing three means that there's a problem. considering that your screen doesn't display, i'm going to have to say the power supply or your on board graphics are burned out

Three beeps is typically a memory error. Try reseating your RAM.

Yeah and make sure to unplug.

OP, you have to specific, you got to tell us if its like "beep, beep, beep" or "beeep, beeep, beep"

read op. it's long short short.

what the heck happened to that quote?

one long and two short, means video adapter error. either video adapter is bad or is not seated properly. also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly.

one long, three short means no video card or bad video RAM. reseat or replace the video card like the other guy said

2 long beeps is ram not being seated propely

also, check to ensure the monitor cable is connected properly.
This wouldn't cause a POST error.

I said to reseat the RAM, not the video card.
