Author Topic: A version of Squideey's textures with glowing lines  (Read 2064 times)

Yes, you read correctly. But let me explain why I want this.

If you have textures with glowing lines, such as the default...

The shaders make it glisten if you face the sun.

However, with something like Squideey's textures...

They're just the same, boring shade. You can see this for yourself.

If this is possible, that would be awesome. I probably wouldn't even mind having to make them myself. If they exist already, that's even better.

You just contradicted yourself

Any criticism on the idea, guys?

I think it would be cool, but if you look carefully, you CAN see the shine on Squideey's brick, it's just hard to spot

Well I mean like an easily noticeable difference

It's pretty obvious the first image is shiny lol

This is kinda the point of squideey's,
it's so light doesn't bounce off and make builds look bad.

That was already fixed with V21. This sort of "light bouncing off" looks good.

Specular highlights depend on the texture itself. To fix this, you'd have to know exactly what properties of the texture that Blockland looks at to figure out how to highlight it.

>ten long minutes

jesus cchrist impatient.

Not a bad idea, I guess. Sounds interesting.

Hmmmm I never had that problem on my server, and I have had Squideey's Texture Pack for 2 years now, since wayyyyy before v21. I may be wrong, as I don't usually pay much attention to it, but I shall check.

Squideey's textures...
That link is down, so, yeah.  Have to stick with default and/or Manty's.  So, for the subject of shader problems...
