How to make a .gif my avatar?

I made a gif with GifCam, resized it 75x75, and then put it as my avatar, but it's not working. Are there any rules or something I'm forgetting?

It won't even upload as a .gif. It's saved as a .gif file.

Right click -> "Copy public link"

then post that link here in [IMG] tags

copy the public link by right clicking it and selecting "copy public link"
past here by pressing ctrl v
click post

also it needs to be in your public folder

Zip it up into a .rar or something

then upload the .rar itself

are you sure you even made it correctly to begin with? did it play anywhere else?

well when i click it it opens in internet explorer and views fully as a .gif file.
