Author Topic: Youtube loading in lowest quality.  (Read 1002 times)

So for some reason Youtube decides to set my video quality to the lowest possible for the video. I have no idea why this is happening.
I mean look at my speed tests for Youtube.

In other words I can load a 30 minute video in 1080p in about 1 minute.
Any idea why this is happening and if there's a fix for it?

Youtube has been doing this for me as well, requires me to refresh and pause the video before it starts and then change the quality to 1080 or the highest.

That's what I've been doing, and it's annoying as hell

I wish there was an "always HD" option instead of "always choose video quality based on bandwidth"

there's a plugin on firefox that lets you do that.

I installed it.
It didn't work since when I did I couldn't change it and it was still stuck on the lowest quality.

Get AutoHD
Its for chrome and firefox just look for it on the store

i like how youtube mobile has this option by default but actual, full-featured youtube doesnt

Select 1080p
Check box that says "never play lower quality than this" ?
