i have yet to hear a suitable explanation of how it's not possible
and even if i do get an explanation, why cant someone just try?
To make a map out of a DTS would require a lot of polygons (even if the terrain and such isn't very smooth), so it may not be suitable for all computers
And to have such a complex collision model would be ridiculous, in no game, should a collision mesh be so complicated, it's not good for the game nor is it good for the computer running the game
Also, i don't recall being able to build on DTS static shapes, and just like terrains back then, the bricks would be horribly aligned and would not be placed right on the ground and will instead be floating by some amount
It'd be hard to build on, it would slow the game/computer down and it would just look bad
