Author Topic: What is it about the blockland forums and furries+bronies?  (Read 17617 times)

yes, but like a virus they spread everywhere

they have grouped up here and refuse to leave, just wait till the virus is defeated then we can be healthy again
I don't like bronies or furries that much either.

But I did laugh at this.

there's nothing about this forum
more of them are just open about it than other places
because there were several open furry members. then more people decided to open up. and new members found out that they didn't really have to keep it hidden. when ponies showed up it was the same thing
you all have more furry and pony friends than you know, you just don't know it (obviously)

Can't you combine the two?

Ponies have fur.

Infurring we don't have friends. Ha. I've got plenty~
^ yes i just did that ^

Welcome to the internet, hugabutt.

I knew someone like you would jump on my back. But I think that Blockzilla has my argument.

i'm not jumping on you, i'm giving another view point. saying they're here of all places just to make it known is simply incorrect. you might believe otherwise, and hell some of them might actually be doing it for the attention it can attract (and get themselves banned in the progress for being imbeciles), but it's not the reason at all.

it's no different than people enjoying minecraft have a topic. the "minecrafters" didn't make the topic to make themselves known and be a nuisance, it's so they can discuss minecraft. they might post minecraft content outside of that topic, but it's a central hub for discussion and sharing an interest

but why? If I would be into ponies, I would be afraid of being made fun of. Especially on a forum with a community as hostile as this. I would get my ass over to the official MLP forum. There I could talk to people who have the same interest as me without having to be afraid of being ridiculed by some ignorant teenager from a lego-forum.

it depends on the person.
me, i don't really mind the ridicule others might give about it online. it doesn't bother me in the least. i have other places where i could go if that really mattered to me. i continue to stay on this LEGO-like building game forum because i'm use to it, it's easy to mingle though it if it's actually a problem.

yes, it is likely easier on oneself to go where they wouldn't be bothered about it. although i will point out that the "official" forum is literally for the little kids, and the more older individuals might find that less appealing than the freedoms of the more for-older individual forums

Can't you combine the two?
Ponies have fur.
some people like to believe that ponies are all furries which is debatable, but it's not debatable that furries are definitely not all ponies

We're about to see more butthurt fanboys come here and complain.

Happens every time.

NOt all furries watch mlp though.

Alright, I suppose you're right although from what I've seen a large portion of the ones I've seen have taken and made themselves so flamboyantly noticeable.

Did you watch Lion King or one of the million kid's shows where the characters are animals?
I know you have, so that means you're a furry by that logic.

it's certainly true that some do start to act as such, and it is without doubt an annoyance. it is unfortunate, from what i can recall that was one the main reasons the pony fans were disliked. like little children bragging about their new toy.

in a way it makes sense, "something new and cool showed up and maybe others would like it too", but many just don't want to hear about it and it gets on peoples nerves. in the more recent months, the fans around here have tried to keep it to a single topic to avoid annoying people, but we don't have power over each other and can't keep those out-of-the-loop (or just inconsiderate) from spewing batches all over the forum. and some just don't like it existing at all, and some end up being asses about it.

well
a lot of them go beyond watching the show
I'm talking about OCs, fanfic, etc...
kinda hard to compare that to watching The Lion King and Looney Tunes as a child

Well Skull Candy says that just because they have fur that means they're a furry.

Steve is correct, by that logic anyone who watched and liked a Disney movie is a furry. Even if its just one character.

I don't care if a little kid does it cause they're still real young. I'm talking grown men, some in their 20s.
I know one guy who was in my class who watched a episode of MLP and completely "ponified" his computer and constantly got on my nerves about it just to make me mad, he told me that was the reason as well.

Keep in mind that I don't hate bronies or anything, one of my real life closest friend is a brony. He has a toy or 2 and his computer has pony stuff but he still keeps to himself outside his bedroom.

it used to be more taboo fromwhat i remember to be so open about their gay special interestes. but now since the bronies came in the furries felt they had a green light. pretty friendy if you ask me...
