you can't really categorize what a furry is, er
like there isn't exactly a fine line between human and furry because a furry is a combination of a human and what you call an "animal" (isn't very accurate because humans are still a form of animal), obviously fur has been derived into the term but you still allow things that are a combination of human and reptiles and don't have fur

they're as much animals as we are (which I understand is completely so, but you know what I mean anyway)
fairies are... fairies. they're humans with wings and magic. dragons on the other hand, are reptiles that are very dissimilar to humans

you can argue technical bull or whatever all you want, fairies and elves and demons are not furries (under normal circumstances)
