can I ask a serious question without getting into a huge argument?

I just want to know why most outwardly gay people on the internet seem to be furries

Theory:

Usually the more open you are to exotic ideas the more you want to say and share about yourself and your opinions

If you're willing to talk about something and admit that you are a part of something that a lot of the internet seems to hate for unknown reasons like furries, the chance that you are more confident in being openly gay are also higher.

a very small amount of the internet population (not including facebook) is anti-gay, so being in the closet about your loveuality isn't so common

edit: ok maybe not the internet in general, but all the places worth being. and often you will be criticized for being anti-gay as well

On the subject, outwardly stating your loveuality through subtle means (like listing it in your FA) or otherwise is a good way to put up a red flag, or a "just so you know," for anyone who might have their eyes on you. If you say that you're gay and make it known that you're gay, you're likely to get less women hitting on you.

Note that I don't imply that everyone is constantly out to forget everyone else regardless of gender, but that listing your loveual preference canbe helpful outside of letting others know more about you.
