I've had nice experiences with cats. At a friend's sleepover, his black one let me use it as a pillow. It was soft and warm as forget and I slept like a baby.

Yeah I've had way more cats than dogs (Like 20 to 1), but for some reason I prefer dogs over cats. Have you had any experiences with dogs?

Kind of both; some try to scratch/bite me, others just growl/bark at me a lot.

all animals are great
dogs cats fish lizards snakes birds mice rats hamsters WHATEVER
but of course I do have preferences. and dogs are my favorite (that list wasn't in any order tho)

Yessss it's soo cuteee. Anyone caught in the path of her tail gets hits pretty hard though.

Dogs are the ones where you can easily befriend by rubbing it roughly, petting it, and scratching it's belly/the neck area under the snout.

For cats, you have to approach carefully and pet it's fur softly, then finding a sweet part were the kitty purrs. They you can talk to it a bit. Cats usually are sly and get pissed of if you do the approach with dogs instead of the cat way.

this is really variable
like for dogs, besides those with bad owners, I've never really met any who weren't friendly (at least, if they weren't chihuahuas, and you weren't in their house or yard)
but for cats it's really variable
one of my cats is really sweet. he'll let anyone pet him anywhere, pick him up, do whatever, as long as they don't hurt him of course. we used to have another one, who would run away anytime anyone came near, unless he was both accustomed to you being around and you had food. characteristically, he ran away once we moved and who knows what happened to him
we also "have" another cat, who is orange, and he is very shy whether he's used to you or not, but once you slowly get close enough to pet him he quickly starts purring and rubbing on you and everything

so just. ya. it varies
