Hey guys; I'm not a furry, but can you explain to me what it means to be one, and what you do while being a furry?
I really like the characters, hence why there is one in my signature.

The way I see it there are no specific "guidelines" to being a furry... If you like anthropomorphic art then I would consider you a furry unless for whatever reason you object. There is however website like FurAffinity where you can be actively involved in a furry community and look at furry-specific drawings and stuff.

and what you do while being a furry?
I think the quickest way to explain it is to compare it to another fandom.
If you're familiar with the anime fandom (or any other fandom, really), just take that and replace "Japanese cartoons" with "cartoon animals"
That pretty much covers everything, from clean art, adults art, stories, OCs, cosplays, conventions, and tons of other things I can't think of
Of course there's nothing that you're required to do

unless for whatever reason you object.
Yeah but there's kind of an end to that...Like I know someone who constantly draws anthro art, has a DA filled with it in his gallery and favorites, has attended cons, and looked into fursuits, and then says he's not a furry. Yeah, ok bro

I didn't even know it was possible to be in this much denial! :P

NO HE'S NOT JOKING AT ALL

To be a furry you must yiff at least five foxes.
You may start with me

(Brb slapping myself for using the word 'yiff')

But seriously though, there's no "requirements"
And please don't try to do anything to me :v

Yiffing is bad for your mental health and sanity

Dont do it
