He was originally from something I wrote a while back, and then I just kept him around for all this time and everything just escalated from there. I guess it's mostly because I didn't associate myself with the furry fandom. I've also got a bunch of other recurring characters I draw along the same lines, both mammals and reptiles. And a dragon.

Because people seemed to be interested, I did a quick sketch (30 minutes):


Dressed for winter already.
The drawing's all sorts of off, and a lot more cartoonish than I would usually do, but whatever. And no arms because I tried and they didn't work.
