Books bore me and comics I like would make my parents disown me.

Maybe you just haven't found the kinds of books you like

Not only book stores sell books and art related things you know, shocker isn't it?
seeing as it's an arts/crafts store and the book that was posted was a book teaching you how to draw.
You don't say.

You don't say.
How was I suppose to know it was a arts and crafts store? Or a book store? How do I know it couldn't have just been a gas station?

Agreed. I could tell you to go to "Los Patitos" thinking it's a nice restaurant to find yourself in a gay loveshop.

Internets helps with that.

There's just something about having the actual thing that makes it better than reading it online

What makes paper more real than my screen?

There is a love shop store known as 'Spencers' and someone can easily think "Hm, must be a little hang out" or similar.

What makes paper more real than my screen?
Not saying that it's any less real than an actual copy of the book, just that I prefer the real thing over the digital thing.

Because he said it in the post? I really don't believe you proof-read your posts.

The real thing could have tragic endings:
burned up
down the toilet
toilet paper substitute
got dirty
got wet

whereas the digital form can be infinitely copied to always have the book and is easier to hide.

Ignoring natural disasters and arson none of those things would happen if you took care of your stuff. Besides, the digital versions can be lost just as easily.

Why would you need to hide your copy of Hunt for red October from your parents?

Find one post that says what Micheals is BEFORE I asked.

Make connections. A gas station also works, but I don't know many gas stations that sell books that aren't magazines or other tabloids. Think for a moment, and tell yourself "what do I see when I see a drawing book?"
