Well, I don't know why i'd want to be secretive about showing concern for my house maid/hermano.

Whoever that guy was, he must only be a slightly terrible friend. It's understandable to get worked up/sad after talking to other people about their issues for so long. After awhile, you begin to mimic their emotions and those feelings end up showing themselves at some point. I know this because I used talk to a few school friends about blablablabla


Moral of the story: We're all lovely ladies and sometimes a few of us need to chill for a bit.

and he's not always upset, it's just school and a few of his friends get to him every once in a while, and that's when he needs me you know, so it would be totally not right to not talk to him when he's upset, even if it means me being upset. I can apologize for... this kinda thing, but there's not really anything I could do to make up for ignoring my boyfriend's problems

It's a good thing that you guys can talk and discuss his problems, but if they're having this kind of effect on you, you may have to slow down a bit and help as much as you can without any emotional fallout.
