What about the chat bot spamming the server with a couple messages every second? There was no assumption that could have been someone unwanted? (I'm assuming you don't know who that was, because I saw a few people ask who it was, and didn't get a reply)

If you want to be safe, then give the password out privately via PMs/steam/etc, or use a whitelist mod (pretty sure there is one), instead of giving it out on a public forum post that everyone can see, then banning everyone you don't recognize

I think it's safe to assume private servers are moderated more harshly. You only got banned because nobody recognized your I'd at the time making you a potentialy unwanted person

I'm not saying that was good either. if it was my server I would have kicked that too, assuming they didn't stop when I told them to, after it got annoying (which didn't take long)
and, in fact, I probably wouldn't have kicked or banned you for that until you actually caused a problem
