DA is two letters away from FA and does not allow research, they do allow suggestive stuff but no research last time I checked. And is pretty much exclusively furry stuff.
DA does too allow research :/

Yeah.
I seen some Peggy Hill stuff.

DA does too allow research :/
They didn't used to, but yes. This is true.

my favorite is the latex research you can find. Argrim is my favorite DA user that does this

I'd complain about the fact that you need an account to see nsfw stuff but FA does this too sooo...

DeviantART sucks ass. One day I suddenly couldn't leave any sort of comment or send any notes without it asking me to sign in, and even after signing in again it still wouldn't let me comment. I contacted support and they couldn't help much, I did everything they suggested word-for-word and still couldn't comment or anything. After about a month, I just terminated my account.

Last time I was there (Few months ago) they had a really small search limit imposed to supposedly fix a random "no results found" bug that sometimes happened. I hated the limit because if you aren't a frequent and/or popular uploader already, your chances of being noticed are much slimmer. There are hundreds of thousands of things found in results for, say, "Star Wars", yet you can't look past the most popular or most recent one thousand five hundred results, and considering the popularity of Star Wars, one can't expect their new but unpopular submission to stay within the one thousand five hundred most recent for long, nevermind the first few pages. I think I had been on DeviantART for two or three years longer than I've been on Fur Affinity, and submitted just about as much content and made as many comments on both, yet my DeviantART had a fraction of the views that my Fur Affinity does.

Then they got that premium member bullstuff...

dA has some crap art and dumb kawaii desu desu community members
Many people there also take or give criticism properly
plus I don't really like the new mobile interface or the interface in general

But one thing I like is I can hotlink images unlike fa

Technically they don't, but there's a ton of loopholes like labeling things as "artistic nude" or "romantic"

Hahaha...

Ugh. Glad I terminated my D.A. account.

I still use it to post art that isn't furry.

DA has a ton of non-furry stuff, and I find the average quality of art is much lower on DA.
Why does it matter if FA has research on it, if you want SFW images you can (or at least will be able to once they add the replacement feature) just filter it out.
It's like using e926 instead of e621. It literally uses the exact same image database, the only difference is the search system automatically adds WHERE p.rating = 's' to the query. The images are still there, it's just filtered out, just like filtering out FA search results
