DA has a ton of non-furry stuff, and I find the average quality of art is much lower on DA.
Why does it matter if FA has research on it, if you want SFW images you can (or at least will be able to once they add the replacement feature) just filter it out

DeviantART is full of garbage surprisingly much worse than the stuffty drawings that I'm capable of putting out.

And as Operator said, there's the safe for work button in the top-right corner on Fur Affinity. You have to refresh the current page after clicking it for it to take effect, though.

Oh I know there's lots of great stuff like that, but for some reason it seems like crap is uploaded much more frequently on DeviantART than on Fur Affinity. I guess it has some to do with the larger general userbase, and I bet a lot of parents would let their kids go on a more general art site like DeviantART to post their scribbles and stick figures, but probably keep them off a furry-dedicated art site like Fur Affinity.
