Can't you just make a thinner, light weight, more realistic fursuit? I'm not too big on the whole concept of the overly stylized ones. but considering im a nerd who prefers darker art styles. this is a bias opinion.:X

Young kids have a natural tendency to like cartoon animals, animal Halloween costumes are pretty standard.  It takes more than that to label a kid as a furry, otherwise every kid would be a furry
