that's not very important, because animals by default don't wear shoes. and in longblueclaw's world, I'm sure people are used to seeing shoeless, long-clawed people

stairs could be a problem, but in your own house, you could have stairs like this, and most public places will probably have ramps, or even stairs like those
I can't imagine many other situations where you would be in such a tight space that it would become an obstacle. and I doubt the claws would get stuck on anything too often. they're not very sharp in the first place, and there's certainly nothing hooklike about them

in neither of the spots that you highlighted are the toes pointed downwards. the rest of the foot is, but the toes are bent and facing forwards

I've read some writing that LBC has had commissioned, and the claws are indeed sharp.
That really can put me off from some of the art, sometimes.

You're kidding, right? Those may not be pointing straight down, but they're not pointing straight forward either. They're at a steep enough angle that claws that long would make contact.
Thik of not just the "keyframes" in the image, but all the other "frames" in between
Any sort of downward angle at any point is going to result in the claws making contact before the feet do.

they'll scrape the ground and rub down long before that length.
That's why animal's claws aren't that long, (aside from being impractical,) they scrape against the ground and wear down as they walk


The only way to walk with claws like that would be to very slowly and carefully slide the feet parallel to the ground.
Even if you could make that work, running is a different matter entirely:
