If it's because you think that getting them would be a lot of pain, well, you're not entirely wrong. However it's probably not as bad as you might think. If you actually want to get them and have any level of pain tolerance whatsoever, it's definitely worthwhile for the result. Source: I have nipple piercings.

I don't think that's what they're talking about, I think they just don't like the aesthetics. But on topic to your point, the worst part of my lip piercing was the clamp he used to guide the needle. After the clamp came off, the pain dissipated to a dull throb. Helps to have a guy who knows what the forget he's doing at a reputable parlor.
