Author Topic: Baby burned to death by cult  (Read 11007 times)

The joys of having a 3ds
Which is not being able to view vids.

Add me on 3DS.

"oh look at all the fallacies and problems with Christianity's points, not to mention the whole 'no actual proof of existence or nonexistence'"
"OH MY GOD A BABY DIED?!?!? THIS MUST MAKE ALL OTHER POINTS MOOT AS A BABY DIED /AGNOSTIC!!"

Can you show us some of these "fallacies?" Being completely honest, I've never seen an anybody give an actual example of one.

I'd also like you to contemplate what you're trying to do here. From your point of view, you're wasting precious time of your worthless, finite existence trying to convince a group of people that the thing they live for isn't real.
From the other side, you're calling us idiots, leading people away from God, and increasing the likelihood of somebody going to hell. From what viewpoint are you the good guy? The satanist one?

Why are you blatantly banging your fist down on my religion?
I was baptized, and believe it.
If you don't like it, you don't need to criticize me.
And also, God understands, so if you do work on sunday, it's fine, however you can also go to mass on saturday, and sometimes other days during the week.
Coveting your neighbor's wife means you want her in marriage. Coveting goods basically mean that you are planning to steal them. Do you think that God would make it a sin to want things in life? No.
Goddamn is a curse telling god to damn something, apparently. However, it is also a sin to curse something, so any curse words used against something or someone is a sin. Just saying a curse because you got hurt or something is not a sin. Using god's name in vain is only a sin if you blame god.
I am not sure what the graven image thing is, but I think it has to do with lusting.
So please, leave me alone and follow your religion.

This is a good point, too.

perhaps i phrased my post wrongly
my point is that a baby being killed by an extremist cult is not a valid reason to be an agnostic and that there are numerous legitimate reasons to be an agnostic

moving on the answering a couple of your questions:
"you're wasting precious time of your worthless, finite existence trying to convince a group of people that the thing they live for isn't real"
well first off that's nihilism which wasn't even touched in my post, nor is agnosticism necessarily nihilism
secondly, "precious time of your worthless, finite existence" is an oxymoron as if something is worthless it's not precious.

"From the other side, you're calling us idiots, leading people away from God, and increasing the likelihood of somebody going to hell. From what viewpoint are you the good guy? The satanist one?"
well, i'm pretty sure my entire belief system is that hell nor heaven nor god nor satan probably exist. plus (and this sounds pretty edgy to me, too, sorry), when in my post did i say that i was the good guy?

and yeah that commandments post was pretty stupid in retrospect. sorry.

what is the baby actually was the antichrist

good job cult leader, good job

What if the baby was the second coming of Jesus

What if the baby was just another one of the hundreds of innocents killed every day in the name of religion?

jesus christ (lol relevant)
if you're going to rip on christians because a cult in the name of Christianity killed a baby according to their perception of the bible, then you'd might as well rip on all muslims too because extremists kill in the name of Allah, all jews because of Israel's actions, and maybe even all blacks because some of them steal bikes.

do you hate these people because a minority of them do things that are morally wrong?

the Christians said the baby is the antichrist.
I am going to loving chop your testies off if you call them Christians one more time •u•

And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn {you} away from the LORD your God Deu 13:5

>Deuteronomy
>Applying Jewish tradition to Christians

Christian doctrine is derived from
  • Ten Commandments and various other Jesus-approved Jewish laws
  • New Testament (primarily Pauline writ; Colossians and Romans especially)

The Old Testament is for historical and divine reference, not law-creation and lifestyle.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image
ever drawn a picture? how about the loving massive church full of graven images
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain
ever said goddamn?
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy
ever worked on sunday?
Thou shalt not covet
ever been jealous?

1a. Christians do not worship graven images unless you're a "Christian". The church I go to (a very good one, I might add) has no idols of anything.
1b. Drawing something is not the same as worshiping it. You're grasping for straws already.
2. I don't and I swear on Bren McGuire himself I never will. You can check my posts. I actively avoid taking God's name in vain.
3. Jesus broke the Sabbath. Like I said, Jewish tradition =/= Christian Doctrine
4. I try not to be, and I'm usually successful. There's a few times I've wanted something but I have never wanted to take it away from the person owning it (coveting).

oh and by the way
Catholicism is christianity

It is not even CLOSE. I'm thoroughly insulted.
Catholicism is an insane cult with a few biblical references.

These people are clearly going to hell and are not Christians. They're cultists. Please don't make blanket statements without knowing what you're doing.

I suppose "pointless" would have been a better word.

when in my post did i say that i was the good guy?
I was questioning you motives for making that post.

  I forgive you. <3

says who

says who

Jesus, who defied and ignored many of these laws...?
