there was a post on tumblr complaining about how you had to rob someone in a mission, and the randomized npc happened to be transgendered, so they called it oppression and disgusting because "you are robbing a poor, struggling trans woman who already has enough problems" like its a video game they are not real people.

most of the post was silly like you're saying
but one of them did have a point, how it's bad that being transgender is used as a throwaway character trait, in the same position as jokes like "curious about yiffing" and "cthulu enthusiast"
