I was reading some post on reddit where people were complaining about girls halloween costumes.
It's not that it's a girl as a police officer, it's that it's designed as a 'girl police officer', whereas a boys police officer costume just looks like a regular police officer uniform.

Basically, the fact that it has a skirt, tall leather heeled boots and a low-cut top. They're unnecesary loveual details of the costume.
