I just saw a few videos on youtube about how they think the xbox one will spy on you with the Kinect. I lol'd after seeing videos like that. Microsoft doesn't have some secret agenda to spy on people. They want to make money and sell games. Now all the people saying they will not buy one should get their name written down, sent to all the retailers, and when they do try to buy one (Which I guarantee they will) the retailers would say: Nope you said you REFUSED to buy one! Sorry.

The Kinect is mandatory, and you have to connect your Xbox one to the internet every 24 hours.

You have to still listen for anything spoken in order to receive the command "Xbox on". It's not like the Kinect can read your mind and turn on its microphone when you're about to say it.
