woah thats totally different. so do you still take like extra years of college for like medical schools and what not?
College is very little here. It's but a small step in a persons Education.
It's literally just those two years for a basic qualification.
They tend to offer other qualifications too, like vocational qualifications and certain ones that are more suited to the... less intellectually inclined.
And some will offer Foundation Degrees in certain subjects, when they work alongside Universities.
But as far as
Medical School goes, it pretty much requires that you go through Compulsory Education gaining GCSE's, then go to College for 2/3 years and get A Levels.
But you tend to need good grades in an A Level of Biology and/or Chemistry, usually alongside another course, like Physics or Maths, or even certain Humanities subjects, like History or English.
After that, you apply to a Medical School, and study there for roughly 5-6 years to become an Undergraduate in a Medical Degree. Then it's post-graduate training, which lasts for about 10 years.
