Yay. Are they going to sell GC controllers with that SSB logo? And if so, why not just make it work like the Wii U pro controller instead of making an adapter?

some people like the feel of the real thing rather than just pro controllers
plus this also means you get to use any other gc controllers you may have

I'm actually rather disappointed. I was hoping they'd add another shoulder button, make the sticks clickable, and make the C-stick not a petty nub. But I guess this'll do.

Please read my post. Just because I said "Wii U pro controller" doesn't mean I said people should use that instead.

What I said, was that if they were making those new ones with the logo, then why not just make it connect wirelessly to the Wii U like the pro controller.

GameCube is my favorite controller. I just wish it had more modern features like the Wii U pro controller - I don't even have an Xbox.

Don't be a richard. He was just saying what he thought would make it better.

because wired controllers are preferred over wireless transmitting ones by the smash community.

get with it

pretty sure there are good reasons for the gamecube controller being designed the way it is, but alright.

That reason is that when the GCN controller was made, the standards like having 4 shoulder buttons and clickable sticks hadn't been set. There's no harm in adding a ZL button and renaming the old one to ZR, and there's no reason not to have clickable sticks. The C-nub being turned into a full stick is more a matter of opinion.

Damnit, there's none anywhere near me.

Oh there was a standard. Nintendo just didn't submit to it.

But the controller is comfy as hell.

I agree. It's my favorite controller, even if it isn't perfect. <3

This is a huge relief.
I also hope this works with Mario kart.
