Mercury Custom baby. these things are loving badass, there's one near me too.

Suburban 1999. They're quite common, large and able to be customized very well.

not unless you actually take skill in metalworking and stuff.

You have absolutely no clue what the forget you're talking about.

Lets say you're driving a car, you get hit in the bumper, your bumper's forgeted up. If you had the skill in metalworking, you'd be able to change it back to it originally was.

And finally

(But with the original hardtop, I just used that image because it's hilarious)

Lets say you're driving a car, you get hit in the bumper, your bumper's forgeted up. If you had the skill in metalworking, you'd be able to change it back to it originally was.

And maybe if you had dozens of hours and thousands of dollars worth of equipment. Metalworking isn't easy or cheap to do.

Possibly, but depending on the dent you may need to have specialized equipment. Once something gets dented, it wraps the material and causes indents. Like if you take a soda can and push lightly on one of the sides, it will get pushed in. If you pop the dent out, you still have the warped areas where the dent was. These can be quite the pain to remove and restore back to the way it was.

Depending on impact speeds, you would also need to check other areas of the car to make sure nothing else needs replacing.

I have a 1998 Surburban, still a good vehicle.

it's just the fact that they're made better than modern cars.

that's just one example but if you're seriously implying that automobile safety has only gotten worse then you're out of your goddamn mind

i never said anything about safety, only that they are made better.

Before your argument gets shot full of holes (as yours almost always tend to be) you should probably explain what you mean by "they are made better".

That's the exact video I was thinking of. I have no clue what makes them better, that video clearly shows they're not stronger. Maybe he means thicker gauge steel? Which really has no benefit at all except for maybe that panels won't rust through all the way as quick.

Elecro you have no clue what you're talking about. Like at all. Watch some videos about restoring old cars, even ones with a huge selection of aftermarket parts and body panels are a pain. The only thing that makes newer cars hard to work on is the computer systems and the how little space are in the engine bays.

did anyone say delorean i did

ewww, everything about them were awful. The only slightly redeeming feature is it's unique aesthetics.

and the fact that you can time travel i guess is a small perk

i get what you're saying but these modern cars aren't built to last, you use them for a few years and you have to keep replacing parts and it's going to cost you a lot more money in the long run.
