Author Topic: Planetary Annihilation - Jesus loving christ, 90$ for a game in alpha  (Read 3553 times)

Look at what is currently the last comment on that page.
Jesus Christ, some people just want to see the whole world burn.

Anyhow, enough of this.
I actually 'kickstarted' (Paypal) this for 60 dollars.
I am gonna have to wait for the Beta.
But i can manage.
From what i've seen so far it seems to be going well. :)

just hope uber dont abandon this like they did with supermnc

That is something i am also afraid of.
I miss SMNC actually. :X

YES! That is exactly what I was afraid of and why I don't plan on putting money into this for a while.

Wait, they abandoned (Super) Monday Night Combat?

On-topic: The price is insane, but I see the point of it.
Update: Apparently they kept it at $90 because of their kickstarter having that same price for SUPER EARLY alpha access and possibly some bonuses, basically saying, they didn't want their kickstarter backers to feel cheated out of their money.

and normal MNC.

Also I love how some of you were getting almost to the point of being pissed off because some of us said that we don't like the price. I, personally, never said anything wrong. I didn't berate the devs, or whatever, I just said that I didn't like how there was no other option for preorder on steam other than the $90 alpha+retail order. Sure there are probably other people whining and screaming how they'll never buy the game and how they hope the devs die in a fire but no one here did. You seriously need to chill and quit being so overly hostile.

I'm personally looking forward to it, I'll just wait patiently for it to lower in price to a reasonable rate.

A brand new AAA title doesn't cost me £60, where do these starfishs get off thinking they can charge me that much for an indie title just for the privilege of testing their game for them?

one of my friends on steam has it

Wait, they abandoned (Super) Monday Night Combat

all their dev team moved to PA

hey handicaps, you don't have to buy the loving alpha.  just put it in your wishlist or something and wait for beta/final and pay less.

the $90 is what they put for alpha access in the kickstarter.  this is what they chose, you're not entitled to stuff, especially if you don't consider the effort they've put into making this game.

Have you seen the steam forum? There was a entire army of whiney, self entitled gamers, these so called E-Activists are horrible, horrible people. "Boo hoo, Uber is the new Riddler and PA is the new WarZ."

They think 90 dollars is the final price. Got to love the steam idiot brigade. These idiots should spend their time bashing EA than a legitimate developer.

They are all putting 0 on metacritic too. Although I like how the number is still higher than simcity its release week.

why the hell would metacritic open ratings for an unfinished game???

Never mind, it was taken off the MOMENT I posted this.
