Pretty much /title. But I didn't tell them because i was afraid i was gonna get made fun of. But i already get made fun of for handicapped things so i guess i could tell them, but i don't know. Plus them finding out is worse them me telling them.

No, never tell someone you're a brony. You'll be ridiculed to hell just like you should be.

there won't be much love and tolerance

"ogm he likes something, kill him!!!!!!"

Are you stupid? So what if he likes the show or the fan art? It's not harming you.

No.
Especially not any siblings.

If you already get made fun of for handicapped things, what makes you think this will be any better?

You would get made fun of if you have siblings, trust me, I was a brony in February 2012, and my older brother made me realize bronies are loving weirdoes.  But it's entirely up to you, if you know your family won't make fun of you, go right ahead.

Regardless, they will find out some time or another, but seriously, I had no problems telling my family I was a brony, it's not like you're coming out of the closet.

Why in the forget did you make a separate topic for this.

And the answer is no. I haven't, I just let stuff happen.

What the hell is the matter?
You don't HAVE to tell them right away... It's not like you are doing drugs.
If they found out somehow, just tell them you like the show. It's that simple.

If anybody laughs then tell them to forget off lol.

It's a damn fandom, you aren't coming out as gay or something that actually matters.

Yeah this.

this

see this is the problem, you guys have to make it out like it's some special case, as if it's coming out as gay or something.  if you're so into enjoying your show you shouldn't have to "come out" and reveal your interest in it as if it's being diagnosed with AIDS (but it might as well be).

frankly i still think it's a forgeted up hobby, but whatever floats your boat.  my point is, if YOU enjoy it you shouldn't have to struggle with the shame so long as you enjoy it.

exactly my point.

on second thought i remembered that video of some random guy telling his dad over the phone that he's a brony and it made me laugh/cringe very hard so don't tell your friends and family.
