the emotes are great. i love how abnormal they are, makes the forums much more unique

They serve no purpose, other than to make posts look annoying. Thats why we dont have basic smilies and instead have stuff like cookiemonster and nes. They dont really fit into any context and arent used that often

Ok I fixed the SMF theme, removed flash, marquee, glow, and shadow.  I reset everyone to the YaBB theme because i modified it to remove the extraneous gay crap.  If you want to see gay crap and  have tiny unreadable buttons, you can switch to the SMF theme.

I disagree.

I find them useful (or atleast 2 of them).

Cookie Monster is a great way of expressing silliness. which in turn you can use to show that you're making a joke or are being sarcastic. 

The Cookie is a great tool for showing appreciation. It's often discredited because some younger, newer members will misuse is, spamming them.
But really, it should be a perfectly fine thing for someone to post a Cookie in a reply to a topic in the Add-Ons section, or in the Help or Gallery section. It conveys quite well that you just want to praise and thank someone.
Don't overuse it and it's a great friend. 


And finally, Pandas are a tool of ultimate destruction.
