Author Topic: ☼☼☼☼STEAM SUMMER SALE BEGGING THREAD v11010101☼☼☼☼ (IT IS OVER.)  (Read 76868 times)

Feels like there's pretty much nothing I want this year sadly, even though I know I'll probably end up buying something. I'll probably end up buying 400 Days but other than that nothing sparks my interest.

More looking forward to the possibility of treasure hunts and prizes.
Then you can buy me CS: GO to relieve yourself of that overflow of cash riiiighhtt?

The price is lowering as it gets further into development, ugh. They've said they want to have only the most devoted people in this VERY early build so the people playing actually help and are devoted.

I want the game NOW and not in december! I don't give a stuff if some rich kickstarter friends paid $100 no game is supposed to cost over $50 especially if it's not even done and you don't have any idea whether the game does actually get finished or whether the devs take the money and buy a new house! Alpha/Beta versions are always cheaper than the finished game because there is always a risk of it not getting done!

Tough stuff, good games take time to make. Grow up.

You're extremely stupid, they didn't pay $100 just for the game - they paid $100 to support the devs and then get the game as a bonus. You know the people that make these things are human.

They don't loving buy it till it's finished you handicap.

There's also the risk that the people buying it aren't going to actually help the development and contribute, which is the entire reason there even IS early access.

zebolte please calm down

There are two reasons for having alpha/betas

1. They need money sooner in order to develop the game. (Give people a discount to encourage sales)
2. They want feedback and developmental support for committed gamers. (Make the game less available by having a closed alpha/beta or by charging more)

In this case they went for option 2.

i should get paid to do this

Okey, those people have too much money and want to support the devs, that's perfectly fine, but if I purchase something on steam then I pay for THE GAME and not for the devs!

They already made 2.2 million dollars on kickstarter, more than their ultimate stretch goal, THEY HAVE ENOUGH loving MONEY!

There is absolutely no possible way to excuse how the steam players have to pay the same overpriced $90 than the kickstarter backers, which did fund the creation of the game.
