yeah really, get a screen or a net or something for your window

Buy a screen.  Your first mistake was opening your window without the screen.

They're not very common in England, hardly anyone has them.
I'm assuming you're American

But moths are CUTE.
Look at the wittle guai

That one is a "poodle" moth.

You opened your window without a screen? That's your main problem lol. Just go to Walmart or whatever you Brits have and buy a screen that fits your window. You'll of course have to measure.

Feed them some nice food and read them a bedtime story every night. Take them on a tour around the house and let them meet the family. Take them to the playground and help them use the swings and monkey bars. Take them to the moth park to play with other moths in the area. After several years they will be all grown up and ready to take on the world by themselves. Then set them free with a little money so they can follow their dreams :)
Oh god this was beautiful

those anti-insect net things are also called a screen

Sir Dooble, I may have a solution for this:
In my room, and especially my parents' room (Top floor), it gets extremely hot. Like, "Don't stay in there too long" hot. If you can, I suggest putting a window fan into the window that you keep open during the day. What I do is keep both the fans on Auto- exhaust during the day, and one on manual intake and one on manual exhaust. That way there is a cylce of air getting through, and the night air keeps my room cool. You wouldn't have to worry about moths getting in any more because there would (Obviously) be a fan there.
I don't think there aren't Costco's in Britain, but this is the model I have.

Im sure you can find something similar to it in stores.

I have never seen a screen door or window in the UK.

Flying pests aren't usually a problem.
We don't get mosquittos, and Hornets, Wasps, Bees and other such stinging flying pests aren't too common to come into houses.

Moths, aswell as Daddy Long Legs are the only things that really do it, and most people don't have a major problem with them.
They're a seasonal nuisance, and by September they all start to die as the cold sets in, and house-spider populations increase and all the moths get caught in webs.

I don't get large swarms of moths, just the occasional few. And it's the larger ones which always seem to attack, and which freak me out.

I'll have a look around for window screens, but I can't say I've ever seen them sold anywhere.
Don't think I'd have much luck getting the entire house covered with them though, and moths will just as easily enter the house/room from other windows.

That's not a bad idea, thank you!
I'll have a look for one of those and see what I can do with it.

It'd certainly be useful when my brother returns home, since he gets my room when he's back, and I'm kicked into my younger brothers room to share.
Thing is, my computer is in my/my older brother's bedroom, so when I use it, I'll be in there, and will sometimes close the window to keep moths out. And he rages because he apparantly likes the room to be cool, aswell as full of moths.

Anyway, for now, I'll just sit here with my moth-eating cat sat upon my lap.

Moth's are harmless. If they creed you out so much get some cedar wood and cut it into a 5x8 inch squares an drill holes in them and loop string through them. Hang the squares throughout the house, preferably by doorways and windows and that should repell them.

Hmm, that'd be interesting. Do you know what sort of cedar wood?

I'm luckily getting my bedroom redesigned, re-furnished and decorated this summer, so hopefully I can try and incorporate some of these ideas into the room. Thanks for the advice and feedback so far!

Spanish Cedar/Cigar Box Cedar will do. Red Cedar will also work.

Cheers.
I'll see what my local B&Q has to offer.
