There's an entire market of personally owned land by individuals for sale. Not to mention getting a job is something people have to do. But I hear you. With Obama in office there's less and less chance of getting a job. But the point is of todays administration: "Get those citizens on welfare! We need them dependant on us!"
And the last thing your folks need is a handout for life. The American dream is dying.
I disagree with some of this, in that there are a lot of people who try and try and still cannot get jobs. It's the lazy ones who don't deserve welfare. The government is not trying to make people dependent on them, they're just considering people innocent until proven guilty (unfortunately it's very hard to prove someone guilty of being lazy).
Now now. Welfare isn't in its entirety and concept a bad thing. Its to be used as an enabler for people who have gotten into a ditch. But the problem with it is people know its going to keep on giving, so job searching incentive is low and the welfare system struggles for money it no longer has by increasing taxes on those who run small businesses and make a minor profit. This results to them not being able to afford to hire new employees as well. The Welfare system needs to be revised.
What they SHOULD do to get money is tax overpaid big-shot corporate executives.
Of course, then they would have no funding for their election campaigns.
You guys also have no understanding of what it's like to have actual financial responsibilities so it's nice to see most of you parrot your parent's political views.
It is true that a lot of people parrot their parents/guardians political views, and it's not right. People believe what they believe because that's how they were raised, and they don't wonder why.
