The only thing crappy is you, you'd you rather pay $200 for a "non-crappy" OS that runs authentication checks on you every so often and requires the use/payment of an Anti virus program
no it doesnt
when a free OS such as Ubuntu can do ALMOST everything the same that the non-crappy OS can do and does not run auth.
yeah but it can't really do the most important thing to me - gaming, like half the games dont work on wine
checks or force you into the monopoly of purchasing anti virus?
what the forget are you talking about? you dont need to purchase anti-virus at all
You’ve said the same thing twice basically (first and last). Please, everyone knows you need some type of anti virus program on windows, you aren't forced to buy it yes thats true but would you honestly go without one? Even if you dont visit malicious sites there are chances that a virus could leak into those sites, and then how would you know if your computer is infected or not, I dont think Windows by default will give you any warning messages. The majority of free anti-viruses are either trials or the ones that are actually free dont have any or as much protection as the ones that you pay for have. All of the top best anti viruses are currently payware (Webroot, Kaspersky, Norton). Half the games don't work on wine? Have you heard of Steam, because its out natively for Linux. (so is desura and its been out for a while).
http://store.steampowered.com/browse/linux/ there are currently 225 games and the numbers are growing. If people like you or Zeblote (idc how you spell his name) immediately bring down an OS without even trying it, its obviously not going to get any better. Being optimistic and trying it out is what eventually will make it better.
