The thing about anthros and some peoples loveual attraction to them is because they exhibit human features. The animal part is more or less just a fantasy thing of the imagination designed for fun and creative diversity. But this is not denying that people indeed can have an attraction to creatures that walk on all 4's. Psychologically when it comes to anthros with human features, the brain automatically picks out and determines the loveual compatability that we were designed to look for in another human being. 98% of the time it is not based on the fact that it is a dog or other common species on the planet.

The reason to OP's question is simple, haters hate on the group for the actions of some group members, which you kind of sign up for when you label yourself as a furry. Of course it annoys me that people have to act like such whiny cunts about something they don't like in the first place, but there's nothing you can do about that. If you can't take the hate received, don't label yourself as a furry. Basically the same applies to groups like bronies.

I can't say I understand the question. The primary reason furries exhibit human features is because we need them to be compatible to our own species type. We've essentially turned them human leaving only the faint echo of their former animal forms. So even if a furry lover up front stated he thought his bootylicious dog anthro girlfriend was better than a human, he's essentially in love with something made in the human image. That means his brain is actually in love with a human form.
