So if a person who came up with an idea won will they have to make the ideas into a server or will you?
Well, idk, I've done a lot for this gamemode but I'm working on another one at the same time. I plan to enter that gamemode as well (once I get a video) and let everyone choose between the two

A Grapple Knife TDM, but the teams spawn in 4 spawn rooms

All you do is cap the points on top of the other teams' spawn rooms, which blocks the exit of that spawn room
And additionally once CP points are capped, the center room's doors unlock.

Lives are unlimited.

Make sure to add free-mode cameras inside the spawn rooms.

A cyclical server
Day 1-4 of the week would be community building of an arena; it would be set up as building-by-building, in which the buildings each had an allotted space.
Day 5 would be a deathmatch on the map
Day 6 would be a TDM
Day 7 would be point control

idk it's a rough idea but it might work
I wouldn't be one to execute it tho
I'm loosely supporting this idea.
Pros:
  • It'll be dynamic. Just doing one thing eventually gets boring after a while.
  • It'll encourage even more creativity.

Neutral:
  • The time and activity slots might have to be adjusted. For a rough idea, this is OK.

Cons:
  • Moderation is required in certain aspects. (What if somebody spam builds? Special handling is required to transition.)
  • People tend to hate waiting.

ENTRY THINGY
I don't specificly ~want~ a server but this is a good way to see if people like it because people watch this topic. And I wanna see how many people would support it because people say my internet is stuff anyway.
EXPLOSION PARKOUR RACE THINGY
lemme explain
players enjoy a nice scenic map in a competitive race against time, the map self-destructs as users complete parkour events that challenges their coordination in a lengthy overgrown map that takes place presumably underground.

as said before, the racers have to hurry as the map continuously destructs itself, the walls crumbling as well as the roof collapsing, some elements users have to run on will destroy itself and force users behind into their doom, or into another path

users can access an in-game store that kills them when their done so they can use their purchases next round, such as skipping 1/4 of the map for a speed dissentient (makes them slower).

nice features of this server include:
first actual competive race that more likely will put the users over the edge of their chair as you dont have any seconds to waste
a nice sound system encorporated, every time you climb an object, run a wall, every time something breaks, there will be a sound.
nice music for the store < biggest feature right here folks
the map itself will be very detailed with the vegetation that has grown inside it
originality, its never been done before to my knowledge.

Just bumping this to keep the discussion going - there's been a load of great ideas and plenty of community input in the thread so far, it's really inspiring stuff.

My Submisson
So this is the basic idea by using
  We can make videos in-game. Where with bot events vehicles are driven and with clients can see the characters on screen talking by having the chat message event used with the text colored to look like it is being said by players. A general theater save shall be released as a place where a player can go into a 1 person room and view a film. A sort of hub of movies.

  needed: people to have film ideas.

  Now we can do this with a little editing and have a sort of Game Mode in place. PathCam is edited so it works minigame wide and can be sent to all players. Now not only you view a film but you watch it with other people. Mute is turned on when a film is on so its only the show. With the Game Mode films and the activation brick are loaded under Bl_Id: 999999 the theater itself is loaded under Bl_Id: 888888. The films will be cycled and loaded like speedkart. Except that one does not have a replay count and goes to the next one a few minutes after one ends for intermission and discussion time where players can leave the server and talk about said film.

  needed: films, scripting, and a PathCam edit.

  The last idea in in-game films is this can be used in more than just said, it can be used as a sort of secret in builds letting people see films about what ever the builder wants said film to be. It can also work as cut scenes letting people put videos into there challenges for a player to view when they are getting teleported to the next area. This will make transitions and story telling easier in that case.

  What are your thoughts on in-game films? Post film ideas please. At the moment I think I will make a remake of Run Hard.

Oh and I forget to mention that if you somehow start to get bored of the server (Which you won't, trust me), the fact that the lounge acts as a "hub" will allow for plenty of expansion and lots of new content.

funfact : I'm good at grapple knife TDMs. you can't just imply i suck because I hate the idea of another grapple knife TDM.

My Entry

Pictionary. Basically, one player gets a painting tool, and has a big white board. The rest of the players must look at the "Viewing Window" and find out what the player is drawing. The painters goal is to make sure one of the players guess the right answer in 3 minutes. The mechanisim I do in my server is kick one player out the minigame, give full trust, and draw away! If they do any violations such as drawing outside the board or just plain cheating, here are the consequences:

1st : No longer able to draw for the remainder of the server.

2nd : Kick from server

3rd : 10 minute ban

4th : 24 hour ban.

I basically use my Iphone timer app to track the 3 minutes. Also, the guessers should have complementary music (Numa Numa, Scat Man, etc.) and a Admin/Host can control the music in another room. I am working on giving points to gain prizes, but I think that just makes it too stupid. Anyways, if anyone can seek imrprovements in this, contact me.
