Author Topic: Future Update Thoughts  (Read 2967 times)

Community-driven mechanics that give players incentive to be creative. That could possibly mean adding a builder score system or something along those lines. (It would be better than judging people by their ID, haha.)

I honestly don't think we are getting anything, if we do, people will just imemdiatley ask for the next thing that has to be fixed afterwards.

gotta watch out for this

I'd wager that Badspot plans to continue releasing major updates for us. He is probably working on one now.

i basically agree with all of this

the game is pretty well-optimized, but any extra performance bonus would be nice.

gui would be tricky, but some restricted system where you can send gui elements and possibly exclusively commandToServer calls might work

it's still pretty hard to trust users not to abuse it though

There are plenty of games that implement this idea well, obviously there would have to be restrictions on what would be forced, and only certain commands and functions can be called but I think this would allow RPG's and the such to be a lot more in depth.

If there's one thing I want it's a raised light limit. You can't light any nighttime environment realistically with 7 lights.

I want more lights and shaderized water.

All I really want Is more customizable players.
and bug fixes. But i really doubt that'll happen, if there was a update, it would've happened, i'm sure badspot just moved on or something.

that's a very insightful outlook on game development

everything the developer would ever want would be done at release, very good thinking

clearly after release the project is considered done and absolutely nothing else will be done to it

Sorry. I woke up on the Cynical side of the bed.

Vehicle sound engine

If you can
1. send a large ammount of gui objects
2. fully customize them
3. send custom gui profiles
4. get buttons to send commands to the server
5. tell the client to change something in the gui

Then it could work.

erm, isn't OP asking what could/will probably be added in and update in your opinion, not what you want? Because it seems like there's a lot of very unlikely things being listed here

Also, of course Badspot's working on an update. This isn't something you can just get bored of and move on from, this is basically his career
