Author Topic: what are your weird gaming habits?  (Read 4021 times)

this is the thread where you talk about weird habits you have that pertain to games.

... obviously.

whenever I'm alone in an fps i will shoot once, then reload my gun periodically just to make background noise: otherwise I pay too much attention to the world and flip the forget out when something shows up (and usually IMMEDIATELY shoot it regardless of affiliation)

On any games with cars included, sometimes I like play some music, drive normally and respect the laws, even on games that are totally not supoused to do that (Trackmania, any GTA games, some NFS, even Burnout)

I dunno man I just play games.

I have the innate urge to reposition bodies that die in awkward positions to more suitable places. It never looks as good as where they were killed, but I do it anyway. It's most noticeable in RPGS, though I'll occasionally try it in FPS's like Half-life and Dishonored.

whenever playing a game in a vehicle, i always twitch on my left brown townog stick, like, always twitching left and right

i enjoy viewing the scenery then playing

In singleplayer games I like a sort of "company" so I don't feel very alone. I pickup statuettes, pets, escorting NPCs, robot drones, brains in jars, I've even gone as far as a the skull of a killed enemy whom I named "Pelias". This was crowned in "Don't Starve", when I started digging up graves in search of a garden gnome named "Steve" who was in charge of tending to the fire. I was genuinely angry when a brush fire swept him away.

Actually, looking at it this way, that's kinda creepy.
also,
I can't make unfriendly or richardish decisions in games ever because I feel bad for the characters.
Also I feel really guilty when a pokemon in my party faints

If its a racing game, when i was a kid i used to turn the controller in the way i was steering. When i was playing platforming games also as a kid, i used to jump in real life whenever i jumped.

Whenever there is a stairwell in an FPS, i check if theres anything/anyone under it before i go. When i go i climb it up backwards so i can retaliate if someone is trying to shoot me from behind the railing.

I also wave the character's head when some NPC says something I agree with or when they ask me a question, I like to interact with them more

If it's a shooting game, I tend to reload all the time.

When playing some games where when you hit Esc, move your mouse, and when you go back it's in the same spot, I like to hit Esc and center my mouse in the middle of the screen where the crosshair would be.

Make sure my ammo count either ends in 5 or an even number by firing once.

Mashing the spacebar or mousescrolling up randomly goes for anything, but it disrupts games sometimes.

I also hit the left and right keys by alternating so it feels like I pushed them both evenly. If I don't, my fingers usually have this hot or burning feeling.

Even if I have a reasonable KDR (>1.0) in a match, I don't actually complain if I die, but how I die. I flip the forget out when I get killed right after I get into a hiding spot or where I unload my whole clip into someone and he gets killed by someone (or I die by him) or something like this.
I also tend to stock up in RPGs with potions and stuff, and by the end of the game I have sereval dozens/hundreds of those and I have had died several times, barely using them if even doing so.
