Not really. All the times I've played it I havent had a problem.

Sometimes things you do could be going horribly but not having any problems

Stop trying to make a case, and just get it on steam until the problem resolves and you can get the pricier Left 4 Dead 2 on steam. 

If he doesn't want it on steam then he doesn't want it on steam, stop bashing him to buy it on steam.

In steam all of the DLC is free.

on the Xbox the price may add up to 20 or 40.

I was able to run L4D2 on a 2007 or older I mac that couldn't run blockland shaders on minimum. I think you should be fine.

Why can't you just comprehend that he's simply saying you wouldn't need to play it on low settings? He's not telling you he thinks you should get it on steam he's telling you that in any case you'd be able to run l4d2 fine on the computer.
