Author Topic: how do i get myself to go to sleep on time  (Read 2282 times)

i've recently been having trouble sleeping
well i mean i've had trouble sleeping a lot of times but i was ok for a while, but whatever
it's partly due to fear and partly due to having a weird sleep schedule since i stayed up all night once and i was planning on staying up the whole day after but i failed that
anyway i'm thinking the way to fix this is to try and go to sleep early since it's somehow less unsettling early in the night than later, and obviously to fix my sleep schedule, but there's one problem with this
i am absolutely awful at doing things i tell myself to do
at 12:00 am when i'm not able to sleep, i think "ugh tomorrow night i should try and sleep early", and i think that all throughout the next day but when it comes time to sleep i just go "lol no" and stay on the internet until it repeats over again

is there any ways to actually do what i promise myself i would do and at least try to go to sleep at a reasonable time because this is annoying

Have you tried using some medicine? Just to get you tired.

If you're having trouble falling asleep you can go to a health food store and buy something called "melatonin" its a natural chemical in your body that makes you tired and i take it every night to fall asleep so yeah, you should try it.

just go to sleep dumbass

I was about to say this :(

Yeah, take at least 3-5 mg. (Try using the 3 mg, if that doesn't work, just take 2)

I got the ones that dissolve in your mouth mmmh its so yummy like candy

Beat me to it.

I take melatonin every night because I have work in the mornings. Works great.

do an all nighter and then you will be really tired and go to bed at like 9 and wake up at 7 and be perfectly on track

already tried, i fell asleep at 8 am or so (didnt really check the time)
i don't get how everyone can do this so easily :I

Just gradually go down. Start going to bed however late you want, but you probably shouldn't go past 6.

I went from 5 to 430 to 4 to 330 to 3.

Perfect sleep schedule brother.

"i cant do things i tell myself to do"
seriously lol thats your "problem" right there. stop making bad choices and just go to sleep, dont get up and go on your computer, dont go watch tv. this isnt even a problem tbh.
