Nations:
*Nations on grace period.
Grace Period:
The grace period is a condition that is set on nations that have just joined the game and are waiting to be fully added in. Upon joining, you are automatically put on grace period. Please wait for me to add you to the map and OP. You may roleplay
passively during this time with other nations. You may not under any circumstances start a war with another nation. Any other nation is not allowed to start a war with you either. Any violation of this term could consist of a warning, a suspension of your nation, or removal of your nation from the thread.
Note: The grace period does not mean that you will be invariably accepted.
Rules:
Rules vary for owning two nations. See conditions below the general rules board.
Please comply to all rules as stated. Do not attempt to euphemize them to your advantage.
Please stick to an appropriate timeframe. For example, trying to establish a communist regime in 1122, when the theory didn't even exist, would not be permitted.
You may*:- Start wars.
- Create alliances, alliance systems, trading unions, technological advancement unions.
- Create trade routes or establish trade agreements.
- Increase your population within reason.
- Develop new technologies. Allow reasonable amounts of time for research.
- Conduct espionage. You may sabotage operations and trade routes or steal information. These events must be posted.
- Expand land claims. You may expand at a moderate rate. Be sure to allow for proper transportation. For instance: If the fastest way of travel was on horseback, do not request a claim the size of China.
You may NOT*:- Make or use any sort of technology that is not a part of the current time period. I.E. No lasers. Yet.
- Use any Earth historical figures.
- Post about any "alien civilizations" or help from nonexistent civilizations.
- Powergame - For example: Taking land in a war without battling over it.
- Use WMDs. Besides the fact that this is the bronze age, this rule is to be decided later.
- Use Gravitanium. Besides the fact that this is the bronze age, this rule is to be decided later.
- Use Telur or Invincium. Besides the fact that this is the bronze age, this rule is to be decided later.
- Use Magic.
You MUST*:- Please start as a small nation. Starting population limit is 250,000. (This rule will change over time)
- Name your nation something original.
- This is a roleplay. You are not required, but are highly encouraged to make events seem more dramatic or exciting.
*For owning more than one nation:In this thread, I am allowing people to own more than one nation at once, but to avoid any unfair advantages, I am setting rules on this.
- You have the right to create up to two nations at once. No more than two at a time.
- Each of your nations may not have any ties with the other. This includes war, trade, R&D, or alliance, alliance chain or any other diplomatic circumstance not mentioned here.
- You can create a secondary nation however you want, whether it be a rebellion from either yours or another nation, or just starting out as a completely new nation.
- If you dislike one of your nations, and you think you could apply its assets better, then you may invade and conquer it as your preferred nation. You must roleplay this out somehow. Powergaming rules are still enforced.
- Rule number one of this section can be compromised. For owners of multiple nations: This rule will be compromised for you if you, by virtue of rule #4 of this section, unite your two nations together, or if you lose both nations.
- If you have one nation, and it is in a state of war or any hostilities, you may not create a backup nation to get around rule #5 of this section.
- The secondary nation limit is two per player. If you have a primary nation that still exists, and your old secondary nation is wiped out, then you may create only one more secondary nation. Meaning if the new secondary nation dies, you can't make any more secondary nations.
