Author Topic: Lock On missiles  (Read 4488 times)

i suppose so but that's what a hacker does i good one will get a lot out af it and a bad one will get caught

Very simple once you think of it but only for people. You shoot a continuous Lazer until a name appears. Then you let go and a bot or a couple bots appear shaped like Missiles. They control like guided missile and are follow bots. they follow the name that appeared on the screen.

hmmmmm..... alos missle was really jest a bot that you control... so if you take space guys bot follow script and use that for the missles "bot".... but then you have the lock-on thing to deal with.......

Just look on collide for client's name. Sounds easy.

You can't make it follow a person's name. The name doesn't exist as an object. You can make it follow Player objects, though. (Checking whether they have a client)

I meant, laser target someone with the weapon. Then fire/release mouse whatever, and the bot fires; not going after the name, but the player whose name gets picked up by the script.

So erm is anyone gonna try to make this?

No.

True but this one is actually a good one. I would make myself but i'm not good enough a scripter.

Hacking Blockland purely to grief in multiplayer would be a huge waste of time.

Hacker takes 4 hours making a hack and I spend 5 seconds banning him.

You cannot use serverside code to make a hack clientside.

The script would just spew out errors because the clientside isn't allowed access to that data and they are handled differently.
Most wannabe hackers would just crash their games.
