Week long bans introducing new accounts

Do you think people should have both/all their accounts permanently banned if they immediately activate another key just to post to avoid a ban on an alternate account? even if it's a week long.

Pass just did this, and I noticed a few others did it as well in a few months time. It's annoying and stupid IMO.

I know Badspot said that, but really using the key just to avoid a week long ban defies the point of the week long ban. It's not permanent. It doesn't really show where they forgeted up.

And that's the point of what Badspot said "Buy as many chances as you want".

Him banning people is only bringing him money, don't complain, just laugh as people buying a key for nothing but an addiction.

I agree with OP, all the key system has done is make the worst users invulnerable to banning. Getting banned on blockland forums does about as much good as a bad joke.

But as I already said, it defies the point of actually teaching them a lesson. Just because they're putting money in Badspot's pocket doesn't mean they should get the liberty to degrade the forums at a rule-abiding level, like Boltster or Eepos.

While these people eventually get banned for the same thing over and over again, it's just a long cycle.

they should get banned for the remainder of the non permanent ban if they register a new key during their week long ban. if they get banned permanently they should be able to get another account.

i guess if they continue to break the same or multiple rules every time they make a new one it would work.

Yeah you're right, but let them break more rules continuously, they have all the right to buy as many chances as they choose and if they continue to be an idiot they will get banned again, simple as that.  And I doubt Badspot would change that, he gets money, not only that, but those people get punished for spending money, that's literally their punishment, spending money.  Seems like a suitable punishment for forum bans.

And they shouldn't, people can spend their money how they like, it's probably not the best choice, but they do and will.

People only gave a stuff at the time because making alts were free and easy, if you read Badspot's development thread he actually tells you why he made it so you can buy as many chances as you want.  "Since the forum now requires you to register your Blockland key to post".
