Author Topic: I got robbed today  (Read 17346 times)

no one will die. stop assuming like its a fight for his life when he clearly wasnt in any big danger lol. just a black ghetto guy, doesnt mean he has a weapon and knows how to fight just cuz he black.

its my ipod, i wouldnt let him take it like that because he isnt a threat to me.

You have literally 0 idea what Tyrone's intentions were or what extent he was going to go.

There is literally 0 way of telling if Tyrone was going to pull a gun or a knife or break the kids neck. YOU need to stop ASSUMING that this guy is harmless. Self defense training / weapons are a last resort in a fight for your life.

Your mentality is going to get you killed in the adult world. Whether you like it or not, you can't afford to go to war with every pack of muggers that threatens you on the street. The best thing to do in this scenario is to assume the worst, because that's going to save your life.

does he have a knife out? check
does he have an attitude? check
does he want to start a fight? check
does he want to stab you for an ipod? ghetto, check.

things like that tell you if hes dangerous or not.
Too bad you weren't there.
Too bad you don't know if someone has a concealed weapon.
Too bad attitude is not a very good indicator of someone's ability to hurt you.
Too bad he didn't threaten to stab anyone for an iPod.

Carry a can of spray mace dude. You can get it at a pharmacy and it forgets people up.
If you even plan on fighting back, use this and run.

Also who is going to run away from some children twirling around an expensive knife? Anyone can get one and you can bet a robber is going to have one, if not something more dangerous.

Street smarts.

i could've out run him

Everyone want's to be a badass these days. Did you know a has higher chance of death of anywhere from the age of 13 to 21?

It's best to avoid fighting, what you did was the right thing. You can buy another iPod, worst case scenario.

Tyrones intentions was to steal an ipod from some kid by intimidating him.

If Tyrone had the intentions to harm the kid over the ipod he wouldve had him in a headlock or knife pointed at him if he had a knife, which didnt happen.

my mentality is not going to get me killed, because i know my limitations. if my life is in any real danger you can bet your ass ill play smart and do what im told, but not when its something like a black guy 'mugging' me in broad daylight like a dumbass. like ive said, its not like he was going to die that day, worse that couldve happened it he wouldve got chased a bit until the apes gave up.

Because everyone has $300-400 to blow on a new iPod.
