Pretty cool, I love theories like this though it's hard to believe stuff like this is actually going through the creators' minds when making movies.
Yeah, it's almost always much more likely to just be lots and lots of easter eggs and nods to previous work and employees.
Seeing as how not all Pixar films are written by the same people, this sort of meta-story probably isn't deliberate.
But it's really nice to imagine it is.
Adds a whole new depth to the series.
Also, I need to watch Cars 2, and eventually Monsters University.
Only 2 Pixar films I've not seen. And Monsters Uni is just because it's new.
