Author Topic: Potions [Need Model!]  (Read 3181 times)

Some potions would be awesome. Just a bottle with colored liquid in it for the model and for scripting when you drink it, it does one of these things; Adds 50 health, Adds 100 health, faster running for 30 seconds, faster running for 1 minute, higher jumping for 30 seconds. The health and running ones are most important. Not much else I have to explain. This would be awesome for any medieval / fantasy rpg. =)

I love the idea, but you should find a group of people to model and script for you if you plan on having a successful RPG.

gimme a friggin model
I request a model using blank texture so I can recolor it!

found this, could use the model.
None of the download links work. But I do still have the red potion in my add ons folder if you want it.

I'll attempt making 3 potion types (lesser, normal and greater).
Model only.

They are all the same model for now so it's easier for me to test how they look simultaneously.
Opinions?
One question. How do I glass?
Also, leave it smooth or normal?

I wonder how did that guy make his bottles.

they look pretty good except the corks look like they're floating due to the glass

That's why I'm asking how to glass.

normal.  Smooth doesn't look like it would fit with Blockland.

as for the corks, I'd suggest tapering it off at the bottom, like it was stuck on top of the bottle, not in, then shade the bit that is inside the bottle to something darker.  That should make it look more like a cork.

If you want to glass, then you must first buy 20 keys

Woot for support. The model will probably not be too hard if you can figure out the glass thing. You could have 3 levels of each potion since there are 3 models.

Don't use transparent glass texture. The transparent textures become solid after the item re-spawns on a brick.

What do you suggest then?

I made a potion before the shader update came out.

Sadly I've lost the *.dts file. But I think I may have the *.max file.

The glas is not a simple trans white shape, I did some trick wich i can't remember.
