Grub menu not working at boot

I just installed linux mint and grub wont show up, I have no idea why, i tried this with debian and it did the same thing, all it does is, boot directly into windows and not show any boot options or anything, any advice? I think it might be something to do with my bios

Did you actually install grub? Is it grub 2.0 or grub legacy? Did you actually configure it? Go here for detailed info on properly installing Grub.
